Hepatitis C

Hepatitis C, also known as viral hepatitis C, is an infectious disease caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV). It primarily affects the liver, but other organs can also be involved. It is generally divided into acute and chronic phases, with the 6-month mark after viral infection serving as the dividing line. The onset of this disease is insidious, often without specific clinical symptoms. It commonly presents as fatigue, loss of appetite, and aversion to oily foods, with a small number of cases experiencing jaundice.
