Detailed description
Tetanus is an acute infectious toxic disease caused by Clostridium tetani infection. It occurs when Clostridium tetani invades the human body through skin or mucous membrane breaks, reproduces in an anaerobic environment, and secretes toxins, leading to severe muscle spasms. In severe cases, it can be life-threatening.
Tetanus is not contagious and does not spread from person to person.
