Mycoplasma infection

Mycoplasma are a class of the smallest prokaryotic microorganisms, lacking cell walls, exhibiting diverse morphologies, capable of passing through bacterial filters, and able to survive in inanimate culture media. They are widely found in animals such as cats, dogs, cattle, horses, sheep, chickens, ducks, rabbits, mice, and pigeons, as well as in various plants and soil. Mycoplasma infection refers to various infectious diseases caused by Mycoplasma. Currently, over a hundred species of Mycoplasma are known to be associated with human diseases, with the most common ones including: * Mycoplasma pneumoniae: Primarily causes respiratory tract infections. * Mycoplasma genitalium, Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Ureaplasma parvum: Primarily cause infections of the genitourinary tract and other sites. Symptoms of this disease mainly involve inflammatory reactions in the respiratory and genitourinary tracts, such as sore throat, cough, fever, urethral swelling, vaginal pain, and painful urination.
