Carotid-cavernous fistula

Carotid-cavernous fistula generally refers to the rupture of the arterial wall or its branches in the cavernous sinus segment of the internal carotid artery, leading to the formation of an abnormal arteriovenous communication with the cavernous sinus. This disease mainly affects the carotid artery, cavernous sinus, eyes, ears, and nose.
