Detailed description
Lung cancer refers to a malignant tumor originating from the bronchial mucosal epithelium or alveolar epithelium.
It has become the cancer with the highest incidence and mortality worldwide.
According to the type of cancer cells, primary lung cancer can be divided into small cell lung cancer and non-small cell lung cancer.
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC): Accounts for approximately 15% of all lung cancer cases. It is the most aggressive type of lung cancer, with poor efficacy from surgical resection but high sensitivity to radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC): Refers to lung cancers other than SCLC, accounting for approximately 85% of all lung cancers. It is often treated with comprehensive therapy.
