Pectus carinatum

Pectus carinatum, also known as pigeon chest, is a chest wall deformity characterized by an outward protrusion of the sternum. It is named for the resemblance of the affected individual's chest to that of a chicken or pigeon. This condition can result from congenital defects or acquired nutritional deficiencies. It is more common in males. The primary symptom is a prominent forward projection of the breastbone, resembling the chest of a chicken or pigeon.
