Pulmonary blast injury

Pulmonary blast injury refers to damage to lung tissue caused by a shockwave, such as from an explosion, impacting the chest wall. This condition is more common in males, primarily occurring in individuals involved in gas and natural gas extraction, and in combat zones. After a pulmonary blast injury, patients may experience typical symptoms such as rapid breathing, difficulty breathing, hemoptysis, and shortness of breath.
