Bronchopulmonary sequestration is a congenital anomaly characterized by the formation of an accessory lobe or segment of lung tissue that is separated from the normal tracheobronchial tree and receives its blood supply from the systemic circulation.
This disease is common in adolescents.
The main symptoms include cough, fever, purulent sputum, and hemoptysis.
