Poland syndrome

Poland syndrome is a congenital deformity caused by abnormal fetal development, primarily affecting the upper body, such as pectoralis major and minor muscle defects, missing ribs, and syndactyly. This disease has a low incidence. Most patients present with physical deformities in childhood, predominantly affecting the upper body, with the right side being more commonly affected. Males are more frequently affected than females, accounting for approximately 98% of cases.
