Detailed description
Gigantomastia refers to the excessive enlargement of one or both breasts, with a single breast volume exceeding 1500 mL. (A single breast volume exceeding 400 mL is termed macromastia.)
Based on pathological manifestations, gigantomastia can be classified into two types:
Simple gigantomastia: Proliferation of normal mammary gland tissue.
Complex gigantomastia: Co-occurrence with other breast lesions such as fibroadenomatosis or giant fibroadenoma.
The main symptom is a single breast volume exceeding 1500 mL, which may be accompanied by shoulder and back pain, local skin erosion, and a bulky body shape.
