Traumatic arthritis is a type of osteoarthritis that results from trauma causing pathological changes in the joint structures, ligaments, and other components. It is a common complication following joint injury. This condition primarily affects lower limb joints such as the knee and ankle, but can also occur in the elbow joint. It is more prevalent in young and middle-aged adults. Key symptoms include joint pain and impaired joint mobility.

Paraplegia refers to a condition caused by spinal cord injury, resulting in impaired sensory and motor functions of the limbs and trunk, leading to symptoms such as limb numbness and activity limitations. The main symptoms include inability to stand or walk, and a near complete loss of temperature and touch sensation. Abnormal sensations such as tingling, numbness, and itching may also occur in localized areas.
