Alcoholic hepatitis

Alcoholic hepatitis is a liver disease caused by long-term excessive alcohol consumption, characterized by massive necrosis of hepatocytes in a short period, leading to a set of clinical and pathological syndromes. This disease is common in individuals who consume excessive alcohol over a long period. Main symptoms include nausea, vomiting, jaundice (yellowing of eyes and skin), low-grade fever, and enlarged liver.

Esophageal ulcer refers to a localized defect or ulcerative lesion of the esophageal mucosal tissue caused by various etiologies, where the mucosal layer, submucosal layer, and even the muscular layer of the esophagus are damaged, leading to an inflammatory lesion. It can occur at any age, but is more common in middle-aged and elderly individuals, with a higher incidence in males than females. The main symptoms include retrosternal pain or high epigastric pain, acid reflux, and heartburn.
