Atopic dermatitis
Atopic dermatitis
Atopic dermatitis, also known as atopic eczema or allergic eczema, is a chronic, recurrent inflammatory skin disease characterized by dry skin, itching, and eczema-like rashes. This disease mostly first appears in infants and young children, with the vast majority of atopic dermatitis cases developing before the age of 5. It can also occur in adults, with approximately 50% of adult patients experiencing onset before the age of 1.
