Toothache, also known as dental pain, is pain that occurs in or around the teeth. Most toothaches are caused by diseases related to the teeth and periodontium. In a few cases, symptoms of toothache may also be caused by trigeminal neuralgia, herpes zoster, temporomandibular joint disorders, cardiac toothache, cluster headache, migraine, salivary gland diseases, jaw tumors, and cervical spine diseases.
