Eyelid hemangioma is a congenital developmental anomaly of vascular tissue and is one of the common benign eyelid tumors. It can be classified into capillary hemangioma, cavernous hemangioma, encephalotrigeminal hemangioma, and port-wine stain. Most eyelid hemangiomas are not observed at birth but grow rapidly within a few months after birth. Over time, some eyelid hemangiomas slowly decrease in size. Nearly 50% of eyelid hemangiomas can completely regress by the age of 5, and 90% of eyelid hemangiomas completely regress by the age of 9.
Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome
Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome, also known as Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease, uveomeningitic syndrome, uveomeningoencephalitis, or diffuse uveitis syndrome, is an acute diffuse uveitis with specific systemic symptoms. The uvea, also called the uveal tract, is the middle layer of the eyeball wall, located between the sclera and the retina, similar to the membrane between the eggshell and the egg white. This disease can occur at any age, but is most common in young and middle-aged adults between 20 and 40 years old.

Most patients are adults, with a high incidence between 40 and 50 years of age. The onset is not related to gender, and it mostly affects one eye, with a few cases occurring in both eyes, and it is prone to recurrence.

It results from the combined degeneration of both the retina and the vitreous humor. This condition is common in individuals with high myopia (myopia of ≥600 diopters) and the elderly. The incidence increases with the degree of myopia. Most cases of this condition are asymptomatic, but some may experience symptoms such as flashes of light, sudden onset of floaters, or decreased vision.
