View detailsExternal abdominal hernia
An abdominal wall hernia refers to the protrusion of intra-abdominal organs or tissues through a defect or weak area in the abdominal wall. The characteristic clinical manifestation is the appearance of a lump on the abdominal wall that may be intermittent or vary in size. According to the location of occurrence, abdominal wall hernias can be classified into inguinal hernia, femoral hernia, umbilical hernia, epigastric hernia, incisional hernia, parastomal hernia, and lumbar hernia. According to the clinical symptoms, abdominal wall hernias can be classified into reducible hernia, irreducible hernia, incarcerated hernia, and strangulated hernia.

Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE) is a rare vascular tumor (originating from blood vessels), classified as a low-grade malignant tumor that falls between hemangioma (a benign tumor) and angiosarcoma (a malignant tumor). This tumor commonly occurs in soft tissues, liver, lungs, thoracic spine, pleura, and other sites. It predominantly affects young and middle-aged adults, with no significant gender difference, except for hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, which is more common in female patients.
Inguinal hernia
The groin is a triangular area where the abdomen meets the thigh. Due to congenital weakness or defects in the abdominal wall in the groin area, or thinning of the abdominal wall due to old age, when the patient stands, the intra-abdominal organs are affected by gravity or abdominal pressure, moving from their original position and protruding from the defect or weak point towards the body surface, forming a pear-shaped protrusion. This protrusion is called an inguinal hernia, which manifests as a mass in the inguinal region, possibly accompanied by distending pain. When incarceration occurs, the mass enlarges and is accompanied by significant pain. Inguinal hernias can be classified into four types based on their presentation: reducible hernia, irreducible inguinal hernia, incarcerated hernia, and strangulated hernia. For patients, if they have an incarcerated hernia or a strangulated hernia, timely treatment is required, otherwise severe consequences such as small bowel necrosis may occur.
View detailsEnteric fistula
An intestinal fistula is an abnormal connection between the intestine and another organ, the abdominal cavity, or the body surface. The former is called an internal intestinal fistula, and the latter is an external intestinal fistula. Generally, after an intestinal fistula occurs, intestinal contents leak out of the intestinal lumen, which can lead to infection, fluid loss, malnutrition, and organ dysfunction.
