Band keratopathy
Band keratopathy is a corneal disease caused by calcium deposition under the corneal epithelium. The lesion develops slowly and is mostly unilateral. In the early stages, corneal opacity is mild and not easily visible to the naked eye; subsequently, calcific grayish-white or white opaque spots appear; vision can significantly decline in the late stages.

Herpes simplex keratitis (HSK) is a severe infectious corneal disease caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). HSK is the most prevalent infectious corneal disease globally. It is primarily transmitted through close contact. According to epidemiological surveys in China, HSK ranks first among infectious corneal diseases in the country, with a prevalence rate of 110 per 100,000 people. In recent years, there has been a significant upward trend. Herpes simplex virus infection is divided into two types: primary and recurrent: Primary infection: Commonly seen in children with no immunity to the virus. Most patients in this category do not show clinical symptoms. Recurrent infection: Usually presents with typical clinical symptoms. Based on different clinical manifestations, it can be classified into epithelial keratitis, neurotrophic keratopathy, stromal keratitis, and endothelial keratitis.

Terrien's marginal degeneration, also known as Terrien's corneal marginal degeneration, is a degenerative condition of the corneal periphery characterized by thinning and ectasia of the corneal margin. The disease course is prolonged and progresses slowly, sometimes lasting 20 years or more. This condition is common in young adults. Early stages are asymptomatic. Late stages are primarily characterized by slow, progressive vision loss that cannot be corrected with glasses.

Blepharitis is an inflammation of the eyelid margin surface and the base of the eyelashes (including hair follicles and surrounding glandular tissues) caused by bacterial infection, predominantly chronic inflammation. It is a common ocular surface skin disease. It can be divided into the following three types: Squamous blepharitis: A chronic inflammation caused by seborrhea of the eyelid margin. Ulcerative blepharitis: Essentially a purulent inflammation of the eyelash follicles. Angular blepharitis: Inflammation located at the outer canthus (outer corner of the eye). The main symptoms include itchy and stinging eyes, hyperemia and swelling of the eyelid margin skin, misdirected, falling out, or ingrown eyelashes. The symptoms vary among different types of blepharitis.
