Flat wart

Flat warts are benign skin lesions caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, appearing as small, flat-topped papules (growths) on the skin. They are common in children and young adults. The course of flat warts is slow, and they may resolve spontaneously within two years, with a few patients experiencing recurrence. Due to their contagious nature, early treatment is recommended. Treatment options include medication and cryotherapy.

Neurodermatitis

Neurodermatitis is a skin condition characterized by localized, intense itching. Patients, unable to tolerate the itching, continuously scratch, which in turn exacerbates the itch, creating a vicious cycle. The onset of this condition may be associated with neuropsychiatric factors, diet, local irritation, gastrointestinal dysfunction, endocrine disorders, and other factors. Typical skin lesions are lichenified. Due to severe itching and repeated scratching, the affected skin thickens and may present with blood crusts and hyperpigmentation. The itching is very persistent, can recur repeatedly, and may lead to infection and scarring.
