Primary fibrinolysis
Primary fibrinolysis refers to the activation of plasminogen into plasmin (a substance that causes bleeding), or a decrease in plasmin inhibitors (substances that reduce bleeding), which then degrades fibrinogen and other coagulation factors, leading to a hypocoagulable state primarily characterized by hypofibrinogenemia. This disease is divided into congenital and acquired types, with acquired fibrinolysis being more common. The main symptoms include generalized or localized bleeding, such as bleeding from the skin, mucous membranes, internal organs, or wounds.
