Acute psychogenic reaction

Acute stress reaction is a transient mental disorder caused by sudden, unusually strong stressful life events. It typically appears within minutes to hours after the stimulus and resolves within a few days to a week, with some cases lasting up to one month. Symptoms vary among individuals, initially presenting as bewilderment, followed by dissociative stupor or psychomotor agitation, often accompanied by autonomic symptoms such as sweating, palpitations, and facial flushing. There may be partial or complete amnesia for the period of the disorder.
