Intertrigo
Intertrigo, also known as intertriginous dermatitis, refers to an inflammatory skin condition that occurs in skin folds due to moisture, warmth, friction, and secondary microbial infections. This condition affects areas with skin folds, such as the groin, armpits, under the breasts, and between the fingers. It is common in obese infants and women, and often occurs during hot and humid summer months.
