Acute myocardial infarction
Acute myocardial infarction
Acute myocardial infarction refers to a severe form of coronary heart disease caused by acute blockage of the coronary arteries (arteries that supply blood to the heart), leading to ischemic necrosis of a portion of the myocardium. It can often result in serious complications such as arrhythmias, heart failure, and shock, which are life-threatening. The elderly are a high-risk group. The incidence of acute myocardial infarction in China is increasing year by year.
