Foreign body in nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses

Nasal and paranasal sinus foreign bodies refer to the retention of foreign or endogenous substances in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses due to various reasons. According to the source of the foreign body, it can be divided into exogenous foreign bodies and endogenous foreign bodies. This disease is common in young children, and common symptoms include unilateral nasal obstruction, purulent nasal discharge or bloody streaks in the discharge, and a foul odor from the nasal cavity. In severe cases, symptoms such as redness, swelling, ulceration, and purulent discharge from the nose may occur.
