Bullous myringitis

Bullous myringitis, also known as hemorrhagic bullous myringitis, is a primary inflammation of the tympanic membrane that may be caused by viral infection. Pathologically, it is characterized by the formation of bullae due to localized fluid accumulation beneath the epidermal layer of the tympanic membrane, hence the name bullous myringitis. This condition commonly affects children and adults under 30 years of age. Common symptoms include ear pain, otorrhea, hearing loss, tinnitus, and aural fullness.

Malignant sinus tumor

Malignant paranasal sinus tumors refer to malignant tumors originating in the paranasal sinuses. The paranasal sinuses are a group of air-filled cavities within the skull surrounding the nasal cavity, including the maxillary, ethmoid, sphenoid, and frontal sinuses. Malignant paranasal sinus tumors most commonly occur in the maxillary sinus, followed by the ethmoid sinus, while those in the sphenoid and frontal sinuses are rare. In the early stages, local tumors often present with no characteristic symptoms and are difficult to detect. Once symptoms appear, the disease is usually in the middle or late stages. Common symptoms include bloody nasal discharge, nasal obstruction, swelling of the nose and face, toothache, difficulty opening the mouth, proptosis, epiphora, and headache.
