Femoral hernia
Femoral hernia
A femoral hernia is a type of hernia that occurs in the groin area, where pelvic or abdominal organs or tissues protrude through the femoral ring into the femoral canal. The groin area is the region where the lower abdominal wall meets the thigh. The femoral canal is a tubular passage within the groin. This condition is more common in women over 40 years old.
