Chronic diarrhea
Chronic diarrhea is defined as diarrhea lasting for more than 2 months, or recurrent diarrhea with symptom-free intervals of 2 to 4 weeks, caused by various factors. The main symptoms include increased frequency of bowel movements (more than 3 times per day), increased stool volume (more than 200 grams per day), and loose, watery stools (water content greater than 85%).
